The rumors surrounding Apple from all sides are multiplying every day, giving numerous journalists, fans and other caring people new food for thought. Sometimes such rumors are not confirmed by anything other than the name of the insider who informed them, but it also happens that more weighty evidence and arguments are the reason. For example, in iOS 13.2 Beta, an indirect mention was made of the new AirPods noise-canceling headphones.

In the assembly, the headphone model is codenamed B298, and their image is stored in the “universal access” folder. Inside there is an icon with the image of headphones, which, apparently, are an unannounced version of AirPods with some inserts on the sides.

These are probably rubberized or silicone adjustable pads needed for extra attachment inside the ear. It is believed that they are part of an active noise reduction system. Judging by the lines of code found in the beta version of iOS 13.2, the headphones will have several playback modes, which may indirectly indicate that the headphones are equipped with "noise reduction".

It’s still too early to talk about a possible release window, but analyst Min-Chi Kuo, who has a solid reputation for everything regarding Apple, is sure that Cupertino intends to release updated AirPods either at the end of this year or at the beginning of next. In any case, there is still a chance that the headphones will be shown to us this month.
Another interesting point related to the headphones: their design is strikingly reminiscent of the appearance of the headphone housings published last month. Then, many took them for preparing for another Chinese fake for AirPods, but now, when Apple itself is very opaque in hinting at the imminent announcement and release of a very similar new product, the question involuntarily arises: are the same “ears” for us caring Chinese? Even if not, they look very similar in appearance, right? At least, many users are already discussing the design with might and main, as if they were shown the novelty live.

However, not everyone is interested in the appearance of the device. Some are more worried about something else, not in the most flattering way, speaking about the sound of Apple branded headphones. Indeed, devoting great importance to design, Apple seems to specifically forget to “spice up” the headphones with at least some decent sound. In fairness, it is worth noting that the latest model still took a step forward in this part, but in terms of price and quality, it is still inferior to other brands. That is why even owners of top-end iPhones often prefer wired models of other brands to a fashionable wireless headset, offering good sound and high-quality communications for much less money.
